What Maharashtra NavNirman Sena (MNS) is doing?

In last week, we got the results of engineering, medical and pharmacy CET. Still, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and party leader Mr. Raj Thackeray haven’t done anything. What’s wrong with the MNS? Did they forget “Marathi Manus” or what? Don’t they read newspapers on Sunday? might be because of Saturday’s hangover (CET result was published in newspapers on Sunday, June 15th).

Just have a glance at CET results:
Prashant Agarwal - (200/200) 100 per cent - State Topper in the Engineering and Pharmacy CET
Shefali Parikh - 198/200 - Medical CET topper
Pavitra Shetty - 199/200 - 3rd in CET and First among girls

All are non-Marathi and still toppers in Maharashtra State. Again, in top engineering, medical and pharmacy colleges non-Marathi people are grabbing opportunities of marathi students.

How MNS party workers can overlook this fact? At least by Sunday evening, they should have trash and vandalize the CET board for not giving preference to marathi student in the topper’s list.

How Raj Thackeray can forget “Thackeray Legacy”?

He should write a letter to the state education minister Mr. Vasant Purke and CM Vilasrao Deshmukh saying, MNS will call for “Mumbai Bandh” if they do not manipulate state toppers list with marathi student.

(Just now somebody told me that, still MNS party workers are searching addresses of state toppers so that they can trash their apartments too.)
Some intellectuals (?) in MNS are seriously thinking about what they can do for upliftment of marathi manus. In last week itself, MNS wrote Sidhivinayak Trustee for allowing MNS to conduct Mahapuja (worship rituals) in the temple. According to MNS officials, only Mahapuja of lord Ganesha will help them in improving conditions of Marathi schools in Mumbai. On similar lines, MNS should plan Mahapuja in temple of Mumbadevi (famous Goddess in Mumbai) so that only marathi manus will be topper in all exams including SSC, HSC, IIT-JEE, CAT, ZAT and all entrance tests.

One local party leader disclosed on condition of anonymity that MNS is also planning Mahapujas in Shirdi, Trambkeshwar, Aalandi, all AshtaVinayak temples, Pandharpur, Paithan, TulajaBhavani temple, Khandoba temple (these all are famous religious places in Maharashtra) to fight against all major problems of marathi manus including poverty, illiteracy, terrorism, farmers suicides in Vidharbha, unemployment, water crisis etc.

We must appreciate the intelligence of the MNS and should award MNS with Roman Magsaysay Award for this all-in-one breakthrough solution.

After all it is question of marathi manus and more importantly Raj Thackeray’s future in upcoming elections.

great article...i genuinely think that this is a perfect editorial for a marathi newspaper (the newspaper should be obviously anti-MNS)

I totally agree ... this was the case before 2005 when ther was no CET ...ppl from central board were given punishment for studying more...Ankit Bose University topper of 2003 batch (1st year which is common to all ) had 86 % in PCM central board ...his rank in merit list was around 6000 .... i guess he deserved a good college and a good job which he didn't get at the end of the engineering .... and there were many other like him

Ironically Sayali was in the same batch but NGO worker didnt notice such a big flaw in the system which existed in the system for so many years .... one more person called Sidharth Verma with 94 % in Central board (which is really good) got into D Y Patil and was jobless after engineering (2003 passout) ...
thats bad

May be this is like a postmortem but issue should not go unreported ...when Karnataka, Andhra etc CETs are there for so many years ... why this CET took so many years to come
